Ike campaigns in Lexington, 1956

President Dwight Eisenhower (seated in rear of car with his wife Mamie) and his motorcade left Blue Grass Airport Oct. 1, 1956 after arriving to campaign for his re-election. After being meet at the airport by Kentucky Gov. Happy Chandler, the president's car rode through downtown in a parade. He later gave a speach at Memorial Colesium at the University of Kentucky.
