The plant, Toyota’s largest manufacturing plant outside of Japan, began production in May 1988, building the 1989 model four-cylinder Camry. To the left is Cherry Blossom Way. Celebrating 30 years, 10 million cars and 8,000 employees, Toyota marked its anniversary in Kentucky recently with a grand reopening of its visitors center and with donations to area organizations.
