Barber Douglas L. Moore gave a haircut to Bill Maynard of Laura on Oct. 8, 1986, in his one-chair shop in Lovely, on Ky. 292 across the Tug Fork from West Virginia. Moore had been cutting hair in the Martin County town for 64 years, having attended barber college in Cincinnati in 1923. At age 83, Moore was tending to four or five customers a day.
