Wildcats in Final Four, 1978

Kentucky forward James Lee put up a shot against Arkansas in the opening round of the 1978 NCAA Final Four in St. Louis, March 25, 1978. The Wildcats defeated the Razorbacks 64-59 and went on to defeat Duke 94-88 in the championship game. UK, under coach Joe B. Hall finished the season 30-2, winning the SEC and bringing home the school’s fifth NCAA championship. The 1978 National Championship team will be honored at tonight’s game vs Missouri as UK continues to honor elite teams of the past. Photo by Frank Anderson | Staff
