NSYNC’s Justin Timberlake at Rupp Arena, 2000

Posted on September 19, 2018 | in Uncategorized | by

NSYNC’s Justin Timberlake after being lowered to the Rupp Arena stage during a June 26, 2000 concert in Lexington. More than 18,000 filled the arena to see one of music’s hottests groups and curly-topped Justin proved the most popular with the masses. With nearly his every move, from a beatbox battle with the group’s drummer to him smacking himself on the bum during “Just Got Paid”, the arena exploded into an ecstatic chorus of EEeeeeeeeeee!!!!!’s. The popular boy band consisted of Justin Timberlake, JC Chasez, Chris Kirkpatrick, Joey Fatone, and Lance Bass. Timberlake went on to successful solo career. He returns to Rupp Arena today.
